The People Behind PitchTrak

Built from a desire to help pitchers become their best.

PitchTrak began behind the bucket and continues to grow through the insight, experience, and passion of people who believe pitcher development can be more connected, informed, and intentional.

Zach Marino

Founder & CEO

I'm just a bucket dad from the Minneapolis, Minnesota area with two 10U daughters who love to pitch.

Like so many parents, I spent countless hours behind the bucket, trying to understand how I could help them improve. I wanted more than a radar gun or a win-loss record—I wanted to understand why they were succeeding, where they were struggling, and how we could help them grow.

That journey started with a simple idea: a basic app to track balls, strikes, and strike percentage. Then one of my daughters asked a simple question:

“Can we track where the pitches actually go?”

A turning point in the PitchTrak story.

That one idea changed everything.

As PitchTrak evolved, I had the opportunity to connect with incredible pitching coaches, softball coaches, and athletes whose knowledge and experience shaped the platform into something far bigger than I ever imagined. Together, we've continued building tools that help pitchers, coaches, and parents better understand performance through meaningful data—not just numbers.

PitchTrak has never been about replacing great coaching. It's about giving coaches, pitchers, and families better information so they can make better decisions, build confidence, and accelerate development.

We are aiming to equip every pitcher to maximize their potential for greatness in the circle and in life.

Thank you for being part of the journey.

Cole Streich

Chief Technology Officer

Sports have always been a big part of my life.

As a former Division I runner, I learned that improvement usually comes down to the little things:
the patterns you notice, the feedback you receive, and the adjustments you make along the way.

That's why it was a no-brainer to join the PitchTrak team.

My background is in data analytics and building technology, so I immediately saw the potential to help turn simple pitch-tracking data into something coaches and athletes could actually use.

What excites me most is helping build tools that make performance easier to understand without making coaching more complicated.

PitchTrak isn't about replacing great coaching. It's about giving pitchers, parents, and coaches better information to recognize progress, spot trends, and keep getting better.

For me, it's the perfect combination of sports, technology, and data.
